Duterte "Kurapsyon sa PCSO sa ilalim ng termino ni Aquino umabot sa P7B kada taon"

The legislature was purportedly losing over P7 billion a year in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes (PCSO) amid the organization of previous President Benigno Aquino III because of debasement.

President Rodrigo Duterte uncovered this amid his discussion to the troops at Camp Tecson in San Miguel, Bulacan on Friday.

Duterte said he has tapped resigned Maj. Gen. Alexander Balutan, who was prior answered to head the Bureau of Corrections, as general director of PCSO to "execute" degenerate authorities of the state-run lottery organization.

"So we were losing around 20 million a day," he said.

He said the authorities who already ran the PCSO were additionally connected to the illicit number racket.

"Yung lotto, sinakyan nila ng jueteng, pero sila rin ang humawak (They controlled both the lotto and jueteng) and they were allowed that privilege by past government. We were losing billions of pesos a year in duties," he said.

Margarita Juico was the previous executive of PCSO amid the term of Aquino and was supplanted by Erineo "Ayong" Maliksi in 2015.

In July 2016, the Office of the Ombudsman recorded union charges against previous and occupant authorities of PCSO, including its Maliksi and Juico, over the expansion of agreements for the lease of lottery terminals without open offering.

In 20102, previous President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was accused of loot in the claimed abuse of P366 million in the state-run lottery supports that went to "invented" costs in the last over two years of her term.

Duterte prior said that he was searching for the "one" who has the guts to dispose of law breakers tormenting one of the juiciest offices of the administration.
